A BEE friendly design competition has been launched by a house builder in Northwich.
Community groups are being urged to draw up the perfect bee hotel and help save British honeybees as part of a campaign by David Wilson Homes, which has a development at Winnington Village.
The builder is growing bee friendly plants at all its developments and calling on community groups, Scouts, Guides, summer camps and playgroups to draw or build a bee hotel to shelter honey bee colonies from the British weather all year round.
Deadline for entries is August 28 and the best design will win £150 gift vouchers.
